Privacy policy
Last updated 25 October 2026. Finora is operated by Black Star Club, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Finora helps you plan and track your own money. This page explains what we store, why, and the choices you have.
What we store
- Your account: your email address and password (stored securely by our sign-in provider; we never see your password).
- Your profile, if you add it: your name, date of birth, phone number and profile photo. All are optional.
- Your budget: the entries, budgets, bills, goals, accounts and settings you type in or import.
- Households and referrals: which household budgets you belong to, your referral code, and who invited you or joined with your code.
- Reminders: if you turn on notifications, a push address for your device and your time zone.
- Usage counts: how many AI requests you made each day, so we can apply fair-use limits.
If you use the app without an account, everything stays on your device and we receive none of it.
What we don’t do
- We don’t connect to your bank. Bank statements you import are read on your device and only the resulting entries are saved.
- We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising, and Finora shows no ads.
- We don’t show your budget to anyone except people you invite to a household budget.
Emails
We send account emails (confirming your address, signing in, resetting your password, changing your email) and invitations you ask us to send to a friend or family member. These are delivered by Resend from helpdesk@blackstrclub.com. When you invite someone, we use their email address only to send that invitation.
AI features
When you use quick add, receipt scanning, the monthly review or “Ask your money”, the text, receipt photo or monthly totals needed for that request are sent through our server to Anthropic, which provides the AI model. Notes from your entries are not sent for the review or chat, only totals. Anthropic processes these requests to return an answer and, under its commercial terms, does not use them to train its models. Receipt scanning without an account, or when the AI is unavailable, runs entirely on your device.
Where your data lives
Your account and budget are stored with Supabase (database and sign-in, in Singapore) and the app runs on Vercel. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Database rules ensure each person can read only their own budgets and households they’ve joined. Exchange rates are fetched from open.er-api.com without sending any of your data.
Your choices
- Export: download your entries as CSV or a full backup at any time in Settings → Data & backup.
- Reminders: turn them off in Settings → Notifications at any time.
Deleting your account and data
In the app, go to Settings → Account settings → Delete account and confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, profile and personal budget. Households you own pass to another member, or are deleted if you’re the only member. Referral records that mention you are deleted with your account.
To clear your budget but keep your account, use Settings → Account settings → Clear data instead.
Can’t open the app? Email helpdesk@blackstrclub.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete your account and data within 30 days.
Children
Finora is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
